Rhetorical Analysis: This is image is definitely aimed at a Spanish speaking audience. It’s purpose is to get fans of Radiohead along with newcomers attend their concert. The intended audience is most likely younger kids who listen to Radiohead. The image is prompting the reader to go out an by a ticket (ironically tickets have probably sold out by the time of reading this due to internet pre-sales).
Design Analysis: Emphasis is the design element used in this flyer. Radiohead is obviously the most important part of the flyer and therefore it is the biggest word on the page, however slightly smaller is when and where the show will take place, and then to change things up the flyer changes the font (I don’t personally know why this font was changed, because I don’t speak Spanish, but if I had to guess I would say it is the venue they are playing at). I feel that this flyer does a vey good job of meetin the needs of emphasis as it illustrates the most important word on the page by not only making it the biggest, but also by placing it at the focal point. The flyer is also using visual hierarchy as the words are getting smaller. The image is also an attractive piece that is eye catching in both eye color and design and works with the text to catch its audiences attention long enough to see the band’s name in large print and then decide whether it is something they are interested in.
