The good seems to be that you get your face out there, the company you are applying to will see your face and your enthusiasm and should be able to get a pretty fair assessment of how you act and if you are a suitable candidate for the job. The bad is this form of a resume seems a little overbearing, a little to in your face and some employers might not want that. They may be old fashioned and looking for you to come and sit down with them after they’ve reviewed what they’ve seen on paper. The ugly to me seems like what happens if you botch your resume? When you write everything down the employer has the facts in front of them, and will most likely be carrying your resume when you come in for your interview, but they can’t pull up a video resume while they are interviewing you and they could create a serious problem. Usually you are asked questions based on your resume and if they don’t have any questions to ask you, how can they interview you? I have to side with the ugly happening more than not, but that’s mainly based on me still being very skeptical of video resumes.
